We are a 501 C (3) nonprofit organization and one-of-a-kind information and news resource with global reach, established in 2014 to educate the public on the pituitary and adrenal glands and their disorders. Pituitary World News is a collaboration between Lewis Blevins, MD a world-leading neuroendocrinologist and pituitary/adrenal expert, and J D Faccinetti, a communications expert and a patient affected by a pituitary disease. Increased awareness and collaboration will help to diagnose thousands of people suffering around the globe.
This is an effort where a physician and a patient are partnering to provide information to people affected by a myriad of adrenal diseases. We think of it as a platform where doctors, patients and their families, researchers, industry experts, and the public at large can come together to raise awareness of these sometimes very hard to detect rare disorders.
Dr. Lewis S. Blevins, Jr. is the Medical Director of the California Center for Pituitary Disorders at the University of California San Francisco and Professor of Neurological Surgery and Medicine at UCSF. Dr. Blevins has evaluated and treated patients with various adrenal disorders over his entire career.
